Professor John Renie of Indiana Tech took 19 aspiring engineers on our Renewable Energy in Germany & Switzerland program in the spring of 2013. To capture the unique highlights of Professor Renie’s program, we sent one of our photographers, Robert Gill, to observe his experiences abroad.
Together they visited:
– Solarpark Bruhrain
– International Solar Energy Society HQ
– Vauban
– Solar-powered boat cruise
– Grimsel Power Plant
– Entlebuch Biosphere
– Glacier museum
To fullfill his engineering department’s academic requirements, Professor Renie developed a comprehensive curriculum on campus to enhance his teaching moments in the Alps. Find inspiration in reading his full ENE 4990: Renewable Energy in Germany & Switzerland curriculum and itinerary .
